Go drive both. Several years ago I faced the same decision and went into my test drives preferring the Toyota. I ended up with the F150. Toyota is very difficult with options, they tend to only bulk package options into big packages and restrict getting them ala-carte. For instance, at the time I couldn't get a backup camera in conjunction with the cloth front bench on any model. The Ford had more power, better MPG, better equipment, and for about $4k less money. Otherwise I found them roughly equal in quality feel and driving, they are both very nice trucks. I'm now on my second F150 and don't regret the decision.
