Also used to have fun with the flaperons flying on normal days. Taxi along at a good clip, flip the flaps down and go relatively straight up. Then do the opposite on landing. Cruise along real high, flip the flaps up and come down really quick. But had to make sure you flipped em back before you hit the ground, ha ha.

It is interesting how digital radios and electric planes have changed the hobby. You don't have to make sure no-one else is using your radio frequency so not many people join and fly in the clubs much anymore, and with the electrics people don't seem to fly nearly as much as we did with gas. Instead of just gassing up and going again, you gotta spend time recharging the batteries.

Also the local hobby shops are having a difficult time staying in business with everyone ordering their stuff on the internets.

Reminds me...need to get one of those magnifying desk light things so I can get my copters back to terrorizing the house. Don't know what made me think I could work on those tiny things?
