Yes a very pretty water pump - nobody can argue that but but - it is a rebuild. You just have to ask yourself "do I feel lucky". Some will get away with it others will not. Just false economy in my book.

For those that are thinking about ordering this rebuilt pump ensure you have a Porsche OE pump to hand back as your core. Core charge is $120 and unless the core you return is a OE Porsche water pump with a plastic impeller they will not honor the core so your $190 pump could cost you $320. So check before you order.

About the front Crankshaft Oil Seal . Every One I have done I have noted the Seal leaking some more some less. The seal is about $10. If It's not leaking and starts leaking your going to have to do the job just about all over again to change the seal. The Oil well ruin the belt .If considering not to change the Oil Seal one might ask themselves why not ?
For those of you following the advice of this gentleman be aware that he is basing his facts on a couple or more TB changes. I have changed more TB than he has had hot dinners. His statement is just not the case in reality. I have seen where the crank seal was replaced just because and within 50 miles it popped out and spewed 2 gallons of oil from the front of the engine. Your car your choice.
