Richard, we have the Specktum radios for our planes. Similar to the JR. When racing cars/trucks/buggies I used Futaba exclusively.
When we switched from dirt off road courses to on road I decided to build my own car. Mid-engine belt drive multi-link front suspension and similar to a newer 911 with a cam to adjust camber in the rear on a custom fiberglass chassis. I liked to run the suspension softer than most of the other guys as well. It was competitive. We all had issues with tires as they were all so soft they would wear out after a few races. They would squeal on the turns.
