It tucks up very close on mine. You can't get your finger in between the bottom of the mirror and the top of the detector, but there is plenty of room to adjust the mirror.
I thought that it might block my visibility some, but because it sits so high, it's not a problem. Because I have the auto-dimming mirrors, I was also able to get a short cable and tap into the power inside the mount which was nice.

A few follow up questions if you don't mind. Does your detector seem to work good in this location ? In your opinion is the rear antenna in the V1 lined up with the rear window or is it picking up radar through the cloth of the soft top ? My O2 S has a manual dimming mirror as long as there is enough clearance to manually move the dimming lever I would be happy. Any pics of your setup ? Thanks for the feedback.
