Works well. Like in my miata, I think that having the detector up high in a low car is the best spot. If you think about the fact that the rear-view mirror's purpose is to give a clear view out of the rear window, I think you'll understand how the detector being under the mirror gives it a nice clear shot through the window.
There is some space under the mirror, but since my mirror and mount are a little different than yours, I couldn't say how yours will be. I would assume there will be enough space. Also, the mount is adjustable. I have mine adjusted to get the detector as close to the bottom of the mirror as possible.
I think I have had some pics at some point but can't find them. I'll try to remember to take some more today.
