OK,

Here's an update. It finally stopped raining long enough for me to pull the motor out and take a closer look. I have some photos, but will have to figure out how to post them first.

First the mechanicals..as I said, the motor rotates easily by hand, does not make any funny sounds, and does not get stuck anywhere. Carb linkages work smoothly. I pulled all of the plugs. They all looked identical, maybe a little rich, but no oil on any of them.

Leakdown was performed, and all cylinders were uniform. Depending on my fiddling, I could get a range of about 7 psi, but that was true for each. The high range for each cylinder was 15-16 %, and I feel comfortable in guaranteeing that nobody would get anything worse.

Here as some numbers I pulled off of the motor, parts wise.

Case 903781
fan stand 901701 3691
head 901.105.11 0R
oil cooler 901.108.101.0R
oil breather 901.107.041.02
fan housing 901.108.101.0R

If anyone knows of where I can find any other numbers, I'll look.

The FG fan shroud needs to be repainted, but looks solid. The clutch and flywheel are there, as is a slightly rough header. I'd assume the intakes are magnesium, because they are much darker metal than the carbs sitting on top of them.

Like I said, when I have time to figure out how to post pics, I'll post them too.
