It's back on today in good but not epic conditions like yesterday.
Let me set the stage for you guys. This El Niņo year is producing lots of back to back big to giant swells in the North Pacific. There have been some all time surf events this season. The Paddle in contest at Piahi earlier was exceptional.
Tow in guys and outer reef hunters are going off in the giant swells.
And this contest is presenting some consistent beautiful tubes.
Today the swell is a little smaller and less perfect that the peak of yesterday, but still some 8' + sets coming thru.
I'm watching on a local surf channel on the tube, but both Volcom and Redbull are sharing it online. IF you have time to check it out, take a look at day two highlights!
Cheers Richard
