There are several numbers on the engine worth looking up still.
The build # is stamped below the type # 901/01; for info see here:

That # is particularly useful to me. Also, there are case half date codes under the crank pulley; a ring of dots like hours on a clock give the month of casting on each half.
The engine was probably installed in a Feb 1966 delivered car.
