Unless the "numbers matching" / "period correct" mania goes to a whole new level (for mid-year base 911's to boot!) I don't know why early production would command higher prices. In fact, given the mission critical nature I might pay a bit more for later production wheels - just my two cents.......
yes i think they are only interesting to someone having an early 911 1973... also because they are 6x15 and not 7x15 as you often find for the later ones , will follow your advise and check also on ebay to get an idea
