Unfortunately, there are a lot shops out there that would like to think they are ready to do an IMS, but to date have not. Before you choose a shop, ask them for retrofit installation reference contacts, particularly if they are not on LN's list. You really do not want to take your car to a shop whose first IMS retrofit is going to be on your car. There are also a fair number of shops that have done retrofits, but do not adhere to Jake's pre retrofit inspection routine, or even do retrofits on engine's that already are full of metal debris. You need to know if they are both ready to do the job, as well as do it correctly.
