Here in Germany there are many cases without the 911/xxx , but a "AT" in front of the serial number. AT is "Austausch" which means exchange. I have no idea if the factory did it or just the workshop that did the swap. I also saw two engine with a EX in front of the number. I thought it was for "EXCHANGE" but I have no idea how this was handeld in the US back in the 70th.
