Good Friday morning all.

My brother and I built a VW based dune buggy back in the 70s. It was ugly and crude but the cage was made of heavy walled 3 inch pipe. It was tough. We fitted dual rear tires and it would go many places heavy vehicles would just sink into the mud. We were playing around in the mud in view of a local highway. Some National Guard guy figured the Duce and half he was driving could show us a thing or two about driving in mud. He drove right into the thick of it and sank to the frame. We laughed a bit and finally drove over to him. He climbed on our buggy and we hauled him to a gas station to call a wrecker. A BIG wrecker. We had to haul him back out to the thing and we drug the cable with us. He got all covered in mud hooking up the cable. The first wrecker was just not big enough. They brought out a huge wrecker and it struggled to get him free. I have no idea what it cost the dude but I bet the base commander was not happy with him. Once they were out of the way we went back to playing in the mud and it had left a huge fun hole in the mud.
