I did it this way. 574 only in the mains. Three bond on the perlmeter. It worked great. No leaks!
Always torque the through bolts first. You want the crankshaft to be happy. The two rear dowel pins and number 8 bearing should ensure the mains line up properly.
That is why I did a trial assembly without adhesive. To make sure the crankshaft rotated freely as well as get a feel for how long it takes to install and sequence torque all of the through bolts.
Then finish torquing the less critical perimeter nuts. Any case shifting will happen on the less critical surfaces verses the case pushing the middle mains out of alignment. They don't have dowel pins.
