the backside dimension from the mounting flange to the back of the fan is about the same as the normal h4 bulb. I had some in my 95 Saab that were much deeper.
The "transformer" is quite small and fits right in the bucket mounted with some double sided tape. 1/2" thick and maybe 1X2 ".
They put our 4000 lumins each which is very bright. I am quite happy with them so far.
