I remember some here has extensive knowledge of these little guys?
I got a bug up my ass about those little Jeeps (MBs, Willys) now that I have some additional storage space. I added a little more then 1200 Sq' of storage/garage space at my rental. I have always wanted one since I was a kid. Now its time to buy the Jeep before my wife discovers the additional free space, then it will no longer be free. Inspector just gave the OK to pour the foundation this afternoon
I know nothing about those little Jeeps but do know this, I don't a project. I really like a "driver" with the larger motor conversion installed. I started reading on the net but its just info overload. One of my question is, if a larger motor is installed, will it rip up the transmission and transfer case? Not interested in diesel torque, but a vehicle I can drive down the fwy at 55 or 60. Am I asking for trouble here? Small V6? What do I need to look out for with these conversions? I really like to mess around with this thing along with my kids as they get a little older. Great way to find out how things works because I expect them to tear into it and get things fix when it breaks (first, dad's gotta figure out how it works
