I had a YJ with a four banger about 10-15 years ago. I gave it a pretty good beating out in the desert. It was plenty of power but did lack HP going up a long grade. I knew they weren't designed to do.
I am not looking for the prettiest, but a drive without rust, if possible. I don't care about period correct with all the pretty bolts and such, but a solid vehicle. The MB, with the smaller head light. The CJ2 or 3s look like Don Knotts but I am OK with it. They are also built to mil spec and more robust?
