When I first moved to Oklahoma I had to take the written test. I aced that with no problems. I was 25 years old and the State Trooper walked with me out to my car that I of course drove there with my Alabama driver's license.

He looked at me, looked at the 914 looked back at me and asked how long I have had that car. I told him is is a 74' and I bought it new. He muttered out loud, "this is stupid" and he signed off on my driving part of the test and I never had to start the car.

It is a real pain in OK if the license has expired. You have to start over just like a new driver. They have stupid long lines and you have to make an appointment to even take the test.

Renewal is silly easy. I just make sure it never expires.
