Thought air cooled was supposed to be so much lighter than water cooled.

My GTS has 4 gallons of water for engine cooling, that is 572 oz. or about 32 lbs.

Are you saying that having water cooling makes my GTS just over 9 1/2 MINUTES faster!

Perhaps a weight to horsepower ratio points system would be more accurate. The lower the ratio the more points you get.
My 928 GT weighed 3400 lbs and 325 hp, 9.46/1. My 944T weighed 2900lbs and 330 hp, 8.78/1 and was 2 seconds faster per lap than the GT.

As for the acronyms the 928 GTS does have ABS and PSD, but that is all. Make sure LSD or Limited Slip Differential is also included in the acronyms as that is what PSD is.

Being a 94 it gets 2 decade seconds getting back my acronym penalty.

You could also have a points system based on the wear rating of the tires!

The 90 GT and the 88 944 turbo both zero out on the age and acronym thing.
Did have race compound 40 rated on the 944T and high performance street 180 rated on the GT.
The 944T had a little less water than the GT.

Wjen autocrossing my 2001 BoxterS I always ran on high performance street tires. Was usually the fastest car on street tires. I only considered those faster than me on racing compounds as comparitively being faster if they were more than 2 seconds faster.
