So, I have a question for the forced induction brain trust.

I'm in a bit of a quandary. My budget is, to be honest, not gigantic, and I'm trying to do this as smartly as possible. The goal was/is to build a baseline engine from the crank to the heads that was ready to accept the "bolt on" mods down the road, as the PSA (Porsche Savings Account) grew.

Assuming my original Pistons and Cylinders are in reusable condition, would you consider reusing them and selling the 3.5L LN/JE pistons and cylinders to make bolt on's affordable now? Or do you think it is a worthwhile investment to maintain the 3.5L setup and delay bolt ons for a later date? By my math I figure I loosen up about 2K for bolt on's if I stay with original P's and C's.

Any thoughts or opinions on what you'd do? Should the LN/JE combo have a durability advantage over reusing the original pistons and cylinders?

Thanks and look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Cheers
Rich
