This is the #6 head. You can see where exhaust was leaking because of the broken head stud.

Unless something is terribly wrong, the intermediate shaft bearings will always show more wear... typically have the copper showing through.

Assuming my original Pistons and Cylinders are in reusable condition, would you consider reusing them and selling the 3.5L LN/JE pistons and cylinders to make bolt on's affordable now? Or do you think it is a worthwhile investment to maintain the 3.5L setup and delay bolt ons for a later date? By my math I figure I loosen up about 2K for bolt on's if I stay with original P's and C's.
Thanks and look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I would keep and install the 3.5 LN/JE p/c's since you're already at a point where the motor is torn down.
It will cost you more over the long haul to purchase the 3.5 set-up, and tear the engine down again to install.. in essence you're doing the work twice, buying gaskets again etc..
The $2k from the sale of the 3.5 p/c's wont necessarily purchase a lot of the bolt-ons you want.. and that engine with the 3.5 p/c will provide a lot more bang for the buck as you begin to add those bolt-ons down the road.
Just my thoughts.. Oh, but should you decide to sell anyway.. ping me. I may be interested in the parts.
