Auto switching weld visors are not good for extended term use, i.e. welding for hours on end.
They were banned in the weld shop I used to work at. Some were fine, many were not, and it is too big a risk to take with your eyes.
They often switch too slowly, which is not a problem for casual users, but is a big problem for production welders.
