Update on the ongoing saga

Had engine pulled and split the case (shout out to the RMG guys in Sunnyvale). Picture of the oil pump screen, showing criminal levels of sealant usage.

Anyway the bearings turned out to be ok and crankshaft and camshafts are perfect. The issue was (some) head studs had come loose and the knocking sound was the heads moving. The head studs are ARP (as are the rod bolts). The heads and pistons are with Ted and German Precision for checking.

So my next question is - for the rebuild what bearings and what case and head studs to use. Car will not be tracked but will get a robust run now and then between more sedate outings. Whilst this is not an open checkbook rebuild I want to install quality parts that I can have confidence in. Thanks again for all comments.
