I'm in the same boat here -- 85 targa that's in excellent condition
I pulled the AC from my 85 targa several years ago. last time I recharged it did not last more than a few days. conclusion was leaking from ALL that old hose. and even early on and at it's best was marginal when >90.

if I recall, after pulling all the stuff, 52lb.

at the time I was running my targa at DE, but since have retired and reverted back to street.

at some point I am considering reinstalling a completely new system. it was my first Porsche ('89) and I sold ('97) and bought back ('99). don't plan to sell it again.

but that will have to wait until I have my 930 project done as it will become my next DE/street car. then sell the 928 (cold AC) and 951...
someday.
