A Split 914!
I just noticed a picture of a 914, with the tail end seperated off the front, the thing is split right by the rear glass...
Apperantly (if what my mechanic tells me is true) the pic was taken in 78, so relatively new car, however he had the rear glass seals fail, the car rusted really bad, (in the chasis, with the paint, and the car overall still looking pretty good from the outside) and it just split in two, literally, upon being jacked.
PS: This is turned into a slogan for my mechanic, it reads "don't let this happen to your Porsche..."
I saw a post on a sliding rear glass, so just thought I'd add...
