You may prefer N Florida to S. Florida... totally different state. I'm in hte Gainesville area and aside from the UF stuff we have the springs, several rivers, a couple of lakes, golf, reasonable shooting ranges, etc. Also all 2 hours from Jax, Orlando, or Tampa. $200-300k will get you a NICE house in a nice older neighborhood 10 to 30 minutes walking distance to the stadium and half that to Mom's pond which got restocked 2 years ago
