As far as safety, the QuckJack's have automatic locking arms, a dual locking position and have 14 gauge welded steel frames. They're 2 separate parts and are not connected in any way. If you click the link above, there is a video that displays how the set up works so you can get a better idea. For stability, they're very stable.
