Been servicing a few of these lately. Did a torque tube, PS hoses, T belt, converter seals, etc on an 88 with 86K miles. Surprisingly the cam pulleys were aluminum and coating had worn away leaving soft metal underneath to erode. Customers opted to roll the dice as they were big bucks. Still needed over 10K in worth when it left.

I like the early CIS 928 for some reason. Seems more lively. The early 78s had the button by the seat to raise and lower headlights. Later the DOT told Porsche to yank it.

I'd love to see how much weight could be stripped from one.
