Pretty much sums it up. My first Porsche was a 928 back in the late 90's. Very cool car but expensive to maintain even back then. I remember having to replace a leaking rear main seal. $$$, and the early cars had aluminum front lower ball joints which I highly recommend replacing with the steel alternative before this happens. Not my car, but this is exactly what happened to mine just before getting on the freeway.
