Tuning the 944 Turbo was a LOT different than tuning the 928.
The 944 used basic tunes within the stock parameters. Things like MAF, injectors, etc, voltages had to be tuned using the fuel pressure amount to make the DME think everything was running within the stock voltages. Example: if your fuel pressure was too high, you would need to turn the voltage from the maf down too far to get it lean enough and the DME would never think you were under load and not advance the spark. But you also didn't want the pressure too low and max out the MAF output to get enough fuel. You were basically trying to tune the maps by tuning the voltages that they got.
The difference in the 928 is the DME is replaced with a programmable module that you can change the maps themselves.
