It's the motors. Rebuildable cores used to be a dime a dozen at $2.5-3k, now it's tough to find them for $5.5k. There's a $3k difference.
There is also the seller delusion factor.....even in this market anyone asking over $19k for a 3.4 996 is living in a world of rainbows and unicorns.
