Willem, you must have missed it, they say during the film that a run of a couple hundred engines for F1 wouldn't be worth the expense of CADCAM, that's why they made the engine molds by hand the old fashioned way.
I got a kick out of them worrying about someone breaking into the line between the US-Britain to steal the info being transmitted between the sites. Hackers?
I too thought this would be more about the late '50's, early '60's years too, but thoroughly enjoyed watching the whole thing.
I can't imagine anyone thinking that any good data would be gained from testing in such cold conditions (6* below freezing

), but I guess they really wanted to keep it secret.
