I much prefer 3m super 77 to 3m general trim adhesive. I spray out of the car however. I found the bond to be stronger, and it only loses a few degrees of max heat resistance. Agreed on contact cement for the high tension areas. I preferred the super77 for foam and underlay, and 3m trim adhesive for carpets (less overspray allowing application in the car)
