I've never really given a 996 much of a look, but the 4S has my attention. I'm looking for a top down experience my wife can use as well. My '85 is not too comfortable for a couple hundred mile drive...at least not for her.

There is an argument for buying a 996 or early 997 due to the replaceable ISB but not for a 997S price. As I showed above, if you can afford what they're asking for this car, you can afford an '09 plain 911.
