My wife bought a v60 awd (basically a xc60- but not lifted up an inch or two) this summer. This is the 5 cylinder model, not the new 4. She has 14,000 on it. It has been a good car- except, on it's maiden trip, the cruise control would turn off as if the computer was too accurate and sensing a discrepancy in wheel speed, and disengaging the cruise control.

A 2 hour trip to the volvo dealership, and berettafan's description of the dealership experience later, they downloaded the latest updates, and the car has been okay since, well, except for the low air pressure sensor....

Let's put it this way. I am happy with the car, but owning an xc70, I know what looms in the future for this car.

I would still rather have it than the land rover from a dependability standpoint.
I like the way it handles. I do not like the way it shifts. It is too intrusive in manual mode- but so if my xc70. I am also NOT a fan of all the proximity sensors. I feel they are distracting, but don't hold that against the car. I am old school and wish I could buy a rotary flip phone- so keep that in mind.

So now for the important stuff. Berrettafan's dealership description leaves out several key components. In addition to the watercooler:
1. you need TWO random people to sit in adjacent seats in your garage. One rambles relentlessly on their smart phone for one hour. The other drops their car off and is completely CLUELESS about cars in general and you wonder how they even exist.
2. You need to install florescent lights. A lot of them
3. You need a dealership car with a fancy factory bike rack mounted on it you can look at until your car is fixed!

Overall...so far happy with the car (wife is making payments- so what is not to like?)
