Actually, originally, Diana Ross & "The Supremes", music and lyrics by Holland and Dozier. "Vanilla Fudge" just did a poor "cover", along with about a dozen other wannabees. But, I suppose, most of you guys are too young to remember any of them

and I know the Supremes original, too. But I've always preferred the slow and heavy Fudge version, guess it's a matter of taste. BTW, I regret having to disagree with you: I'm not too young... born 1949, a good year. Gosh, yesterday I listened to "Band of Gypsies" over the headphones. OT: few days ago, after jogging 14 km, I was a bit tired and told my 16-yr oldest son "Mmmm... I'm getting old, Nigel". To which he gave me a weird look on 'is face and, upon my insisting he explained "You ARE old"
