The thing I was considering doing to the Passat before the seat problems was upgrading the suspension. Springs, shocks, or both. It got really squirrelly and wandered scarily at anything over 90mph. Euro springs were really cheap for it, under $400 for all 4 corners. It was what I was going to do next if they could fix the seat.
