We had our sewer pipe line scoped about 20 years ago. It was compressed tar paper and got squeezed by the weight of the dirt above it to the point where exit was impeded. At that time it was about 40 years old guessing it was the original sewer pipe. Had the pipe replaced with pvc pipe. No issues at all since. Will likely outlive me. It seemed expensive at the time jackhammering through the concrete slab plus cost of install but as above says worry free flushing now.
