So the battery totally died on my 1999 996 Sunday...I tried charging but no use. So I bought a replacement battery...installed it...the beast roars back to life...all gauges, etc. work fine...
BUT the convertible top won't open. I can hear the top motor whir and click but...zip happens. It seems like the latch is not releasing off the windshield. I have not tried to manually release it yet as I thought there may be something that I need to reset after a totally dead battery...

Suggestions?
