Thanks for the feedback......but, I'm not trying to determine the relative value of a 2.7 vs a 3.0 or a 3.2. or mag cases to aluminum cases. The pro and cons are well known. However, I am trying to determine if, due to the one year only configuration, by serial number, of the 1974 2.7S engine, if there is added value. While it is true that it is essentially the same as the later 2.7s...the 74 configuration of the 2.7S is unique and the serial number may potentially be of added value to a 74S or U.S. Carrera owner..... trying to match the correct type/serial number to their 74 resto project...............
