Hi,
I'm rebuilding my 72 2.4 T engine. With carrera chain tensioner upgrade off course. My question concerns the mounting of idlers and tensioners on the chain housing shaft.
On the left side the idler arm fits against the chain housing and the chain tensioner fits against the idler arm. Looks OK.
On the right side however, the tensioner fits against the idler but there is a gap between the idler arm and the housing.
Should there be a spacer between the housing and the idler arm? Any comments?
Oh yeah, the idler arms are the later style.
