If a woman needs over an hour to "look pretty" then here's a news flash: she ain't pretty.

I start my meetings on time - I don't wait and I don't back up if someone comes in late. Too damn bad, read the minutes or show up on time like the other twenty people in the room. Lateness bothers me because it's rude and inconsiderate - two things that are already in far-too-abundant supply in the world anyway.

I never understood the point of setting clocks ahead - all you end up doing is mentally adjusting for it anyway. Mine are always set right on the dot, just as they should be. They tell the brutal truth - you're going to make it or you're not. No fudging, no BS.

Equally bad (or worse) is people who drag meetings on (and on, and on, and on - usually just to hear themselves talk). Timeliness means starting on time AND ending on time. If people aren't going to facilitate that, I'll cut them off and end things for them. My time is more valuable than to be tied up by people like that and so is that of most others. It's just simple rudeness and it sometimes takes being a bit abrupt and rude to cut it off and put people like that in their place (what are they going to do? Complain that I'm being rude to them? Go ahead, see how that works out for ya').
