Red face Test fuel head/distributor in la area?

Anyone in the LA area have a rig to test fuel distributor flow etc? (And know how to tweak it)? It's a 145 unit (3.6T)

I have mine out from a cleaning of overfill of oil and I'm worried I damaged an o-ring or something inside by cleaning it with carb cleaner. The membrane material and the o-rings on the regulator are fine though - so I'm thinking maybe it's some tweaking issue causing cylinder 5 to flood/no fire

you can check for even flow out of all 6 ports.
I tested mine at 3 points of operation. one simulated idle, one simulated mid RPM cruise and the 3rd of course was WOT.
the idle test took a long time, around 15 minutes at least. I put a battery charger on the batt for all the tests.
you also want to make sure you don't have any that leak

you can also buy the rebuild kit for about $100.

Cleanup from the overfill probably didn't hurt anything. The -145 fuel distributors are less solvent sensitive than the earlier Euro -037 units. Before doing anything to your FD change all of your spark plugs. The oil overfill likely has fouled at least one of them. If that doesn't do the trick we can look closer at the fuel system.

Looks like the Salvox CIS fuel head rebuild kit is still around $70 shipped on ebay. The one in this link may or may not be the correct one for yours but there are more of them on the Salvox.com site and ebay.

The no fire on cyl 5 is more likely caused from the oil overfill instead of the attempt to clean the FD with solvents.

Hah maybe a bug got in, who knows. I have the FD on bench and all cleaned up (parts will all go back in EXACLTY where they came from sans the little pipe filters those are staying out, and the diaphragm is really nasty/crinkled, could have been damaged from crab cleaner. Have kit arriving to replace all and see if that is the problem.

Bloody fuel pressure kit I got from HF has no connection for the fuel >WUR line (13mm male - the one it came with has a giant hole in the side of it what use is that). Grrr. Need to check pressures first once FD back on.

Your funky wrinkled original rubber diaphragm got that way from the ethanol in todays E10 Gas. The original rubber o-rings and diaphragm in aluminum CIS fuel heads are not ethanol tolerant.
The rubber parts in Salvox rebuild kits are ethanol tolerant so E10 gas is OK in them. Maybe you could run E85 in a CIS fuel head with Salvox rubber parts installed if you could modify it to inject wayyy more fuel correctly.

I'm more interested in the dirty grils and crab cleaner. Where do you get this stuff? ebay? I don't see it listed on pelican.

Thanks

Thank You Fair-man for the FM rebuild kit ebay heads up. I'll buy anything w/free shipping. Will put it on the mtn -o-parts for use in about a year when I retire and get at it.
