fuel accumulator
Does it matter which way around the TOP fuel lines go on the fuel accumulator?
You have a center and offset fitting and 2 lines. I wouldn't have thought it would make a difference, but wondering - trying to find source of an issue. And the last thing I did was install a new accumulator. Thanks Alan

I think I can answer my Q. It does matter - according to one CIS manual I checked. The other manual I have shows no difference. I think I need to swap the lines.

Installed mine this weekend.
Don’t know if it matters which way it is plumbed but I put it on the way it came off. That was with the offset fitting for the fuel in and the centered to the filter. I have to say I was shocked to see the colour of the fuel that came from the old filter |

I'm thinking it does matter. One diagram I have just shows a fuel flow in/out thru the ports.
Another diagram in another manual shows internal reed valves. In which case it probably matters. Regards Alan

There are a few different accumulators over the years but they all seem to work the same way, one in, one out, bottom overflow/return. The lines cannot be mixed up.

Hi Brian, well, I did manage to mix them up. Bit tight in there and somehow I followed the wrong line to the wrong place. Anyhow, swapped over now. Idling fine - just have to take it for a run.
Regards Alan
