930 turbo scavenge oil pump fittings question
Hey everyone,
I've been searching just about errywhere and can't find a clue on either the in-housing thread spec, or the stock (maybe?) blue AN-looking fittings on the camshaft-driven turbo scavenge pump. I'm looking to get an in-line filter + check valve (post-pump) and want to make sure I'm sizing everything appropriately. Anybody know off the top of their heads? |

If you're talking about the thread size on the scavenge pump itself, I believe the bottom fitting (intake) is an M14 and the top (discharge) is an M16. I had a lot of adapters from redoing the fuel and oil system, so it's a toss up. If no one corroborates me, Clewett Engineering sells a replacement scavenge pump designed for stock fittings, so give him a call and he can surely give you the answer.

You are correct. I just happen to be working on one. M14 x 1.5 on the suction side, and M16 x 1.5 on the pressure side.

M16x1.5mm inlet (hollow bolt, bottom, from turbocharger scavenge pipe)
M14x1.5mm outlet (adapter fitting, top, to tank)

Does anyone have a part number or specs for the metal union fitting on the top of the pump that the cross over hardline bolts to?

Porsche does not sell that fitting separately.
Union is M14 x M16 concave (oil pipe side of fitting).

Hmm - I bet Len (BoxsterGT) would know where to get them - and could make you a replacement line with it on; he seems to have sourced just about everything else fuel or oil line related...

![]() Here are some "nicer/new" fittings..... ![]() Most adapters of this type use a Copper Crush Ring at the component and a Male Cone at the Fluid Line or Hose. I am happy to help given the thread sizes needed. Len.Cummings at verizon.net
