My previous full bay intercooler was 4.5 x 24 x 10 and weighed 31 lbs. I'm trying to get weight off the car especially at the back and felt the intercooler was a little oversized for the way I drive it (more twistys than full throttle).

I wanted to fit a ducktail in place of the heavy 930 tail so I built a smaller 3 x 20 x 8 intercooler which is about the size of a 965 intercooler (here are some 965 pics with measurements for anyone curious.) I also wanted to shorten the piping to help with lag and weight and ended up with a 13.7 lb intercooler.

I've since changed to an AIR IROC tail which has a lot of room for a bigger intercooler so I'm temped to build a 4.5 x 20 x 8 intercooler to provide a little more cooling.
