IC gets lift on boost. Need mounting advice.

Hi fellas.

I got an unexpected problem now that my Pcar is out and about. On boost the IC gets enough lift to separate from the boost pressure pipe and thus resulting in turbo whine into the engine room but no fun boost

I read about the turbo dropping a little if you don't have the bracket. I do not so i have to fix that.

Also, the third mount it not there anymore as i've gone EFI and therefore removed the part where the bracket is mounted on the driver side corner. Anyone make a bracket i could see?

My air filter goes right under that corner. Might it be better to mount the airfilter underneath straight off the turbo and install that part with the mount?

Thanks for any insight

This is her right now.

I'm not much help, but I personally wouldn't mount the air filter directly off the turbo. The air is too hot down there, you want the coldest air you can get. I think you're stuck with fabricating a bracket.

Yeah you are probably right. I started thinking and i do actually have the turbo bracket in place. Its mounted on the 4 bolts on the turbo and two on the crank pulley cover bottom i think. I need to find a better connection from IC to pipe. Some sort of clamp or pipe screwed tight.

Garage
A picture of your IC might help.
Here is the bottom of mine and you can see the two main mounts with long bolts into the intake are what would hold it down tightly. The third, front mount stabilizes the assembly.
