10.5:1 static CR, GT2 Evo cams, 930/66

Hello. I’m new. Pleased to see so many knowledgeable people here.

The engine is going together now. Capricorn pistons and barrels. Carrillo rods. I have twin plugged 79 SC heads.

Has anyone run anything like this? I found various elements but not all together.

What sort of knocking/detonation,boost levels and power/torque levels have you seen?

Thanks

Here's a graph from Graham Bell's Forced Induction Performance Tuning book which I highly recommend:

Graph shows not more than 5 psi to be safe.

The obvious question is why 10.5 CR if you're going to boost it?

Thank you for replies. We are using a modern ECU, target AFRs on wide band lambda, closed loop ignition timing over inputs on knock detection / egt / head temps on each cylinder/plug / intercooler outlet temp and boost mapped per gear. Water / meth will be mapped in (aquamist). The plugs will fire simultaneously. The intercooler is a copy of factory GT2 Evo with modern core material, 100mm height x as big as you get under the deck lid (993 GT2).

We will add lots of boost low down then roll it off.

Should be very tractable low down with two small turbos. And that’s why Capricorn went for 10.5:1 for a 3.4L 930.

Any actual experience of anything like this?

Use e85 or methanol.

Maybe on ethanol, methanol, or C16.
Not going to work on premium pump gas. BTDT.
