Is anyone familiar with this 77 on C&B?

Considering all the negatives, amazing its commanding $75k so far. Makes me feel good'er about my '87 even with double the miles.

I have been thinking about getting back into an early 930, and this time a 3.0. I agree $75k is strong this early in the auction, considering some key points. A few items stick out. First is the shifting issues. Based on what he says, I imagine the gearbox probably could use a rebuild and a new clutch (about $8k on my old 79 in 2016). Second is the front end is inncorent for a 77. Symbolic did the body work (wrecked?) and repaint. They missed some details, and the paint is really not that good? There are no provisions for the snorkel washers (or washers at all). Also, the Symbolic paperwork notes this car is a 78 3.? I don't want to point out/ask these things in the auction to rain on his parade.

Just a FYI, I don't think that's a headlight washer delete. Notice the spoiler is from a newer 930, the hood isn't fitting down even across the front. Just a guess but that front end has been worked on. Nice looking car though.

I have an excessive amount of fuel coming out of the exhaust as I try to start a 1987 Porsche 911 turbo. Any idea why this happens.

Cellison, I remember that 79 you had that seemed to have had a good life before you bought it. From looking at the photos, this one appears not to have had that history. Good to see you are thinking of getting into a Turbo Carrera.

Light 75. How can you tell that the front spoiler is from a newer 930?
Thanks, Rahl

Correct, this is a 84 and later front valance.
Question, if it is a Japanese market car, why is it not Right hand drive??

It is because it is an import. My friend's 89 930 is a LHD Japan car. My ex used to have Alfas and VWs in Japan that were LHD.

Hey Tony. No it is not as nice as my old one. I'm thinking this one may have been lightly hit in the front based on the work/receipts from Symbolic. It is interesting that no one is making comments/asking questions regarding these obvious items on C&B. If it were on BAT, I imagine the conversation would be more lively.
