Intercooler seal.....
I see that the rubber seal around the rim of the stock intercooler has come apart at the corners. Is there some sort of product that you can use to bond the edges of the rubber together at the 90 degree corners? I can see that the PO had some silocone there but it didn't hold.
Most of the pictures I see of the intercoolers show the rubber has come apart at the corners....does this affect the efficiency of air induction? Logic says not...otherwise there wouldn't be so many examples of separated corners....guys would have fixed them.

It will be a nearly unmeasurable power loss. Use some silicone to shore up the edges if it bothers you.

I asked this question several weeks ago on the 911 tech forum before the turbo forum was created. You might search over there as I received some good responses. I ended up using super glue to reattach the corners and applied silicone over the glued corners for extra strength. So far, so good.

Thanks...I'll go look it up on the newly created Turbo forum. Even though it doesn't appear to have much effect on performance, it just doesn't look right. .....BTW...Thanks for the 930 forum Wayne!! I just saw it.

Use silicone PASTE during the install and this is not a problem.

Is there a particular brand name that's better than another? I'm not familiar with silicone paste...I was about to go use some of that "Gorilla Glue"....but based upon this last suggestion, I will wait for the response. When I looked closely at my rubber seal, I could see that there was some sort of silocone based product adhering to the edges. Do you know how long this paste keeps it together?

The past keeps it from pulliung apart. Use a new seal and use the past. I use Wurth brand. Any brand will work I am certain.

Inter-cooler rubber
Get some heavy duty fishing line and a needle. Line up the rubber and put one stitch in it before you silicon it. When it sets up, trim back the line. This will give it a little extra holding power. Not more HP unfortunately.
